I used to live next to a kid who was a hot mess his whole life. Just an example of the kid at an early age: he used to grab neighborhood cats, swing them by their tails, and let them go, watching them fly and land back on their feet. He was the local hessian too. He listened to Ozzy and all these other amazing bands, way before I knew what metal was. Whenever my dad would confront his dad about his son's behavior, his dad said, "Boys will be boys." Many years go by, and this kid is now in high school; he's still a die-hard Hessian, but now he's dealing drugs out of his garage. One weekend morning, I saw the local PD Officers pull up and see him and his friends passed out on his front lawn from fentanyl. While this graphic is meant as a joke, there is a bit of truth: some kids just need guidance in life, beyond "Boys will be boys."
